Baby Cole is 7 months old! He truly is the happiest and sweetest little guy ever, and I am SO thankful that he is a part of our family. Cole measured a whopping 28 inches at his 6 month appointment and continues to grow like a weed. We recently started feeding him more solid foods, and he is expanding his list of favorite foods to pears, sweet potatoes, and rice cereal. I am still breastfeeding, but he has just this week started drinking a little formula when I am out in the evenings. We had tried formula in the past, and he had totally refused to drink it, but now he’s a bit more laid back about the issue, and it takes a bit of pressure off of me to pump all day long when I’m out and about.
Emma and Baby Cole are becoming the best of buds. It’s so fun to see them play and interact. Emma is quite the helper and enjoys feeding Cole and bringing me his wipes and diapers when he needs a change. In fact, she’s often the one telling me she thinks he needs a new diaper. Ha — what a great mini mommy. She is always very concerned about what he is doing, and will not let me leave the house without putting him in the car before her. Otherwise she yells, “You forgot the baby!” Glad I have someone keeping extra tabs on him 🙂
I am feeling pretty good at 7 months postpartum after a few set-backs this winter. I’ve been on 5 rounds of antibiotics for Strep (yes, 5), so that has been a bit of a frustration. Just in the past few days, I’ve been able to focus more on lifting and developing more muscle tone after losing much of it due to being sick so often. If this current round of antibiotics doesn’t do the trick, I will be getting my tonsils out. I’m so nervous about it, but I know it will be for the best! We are working to eat as clean as possible (with a few treats here and there, of course), and be sure to get a lot of veggies and lean protein in our diets. I need to tighten up my eating a good bit in the evenings, but am feeling pretty good overall about our choices.
We are settling into our new house and have the main floor almost completely finished in terms of decorating. The office and main floor bathroom need to be painted, but we have pictures hung, furniture organized, and painted walls. It still feels like we are living in someone else’s house because it’s a HUGE step up from our apartment living situation while we built. Not a minute goes by where I’m not extremely grateful for the opportunity to live in our new house! The kids are loving the additional space, and we’ve been entertaining a ton on the weekends — so fun!
I have some pretty awesome partnerships in the works, so stay tuned for more reviews and giveaways. Also, if you’re interested in a flexible career and potentially getting your personal training cert, please contact me or message below. I have secured and AMAZING deal with NCCPT for a PT cert (like — incredible deal) for the ladies in my mentorship program. Best wishes!
