Wearing my Preggers compression leggings and FittaMamma top for a family walk and my run.

My workouts this week were really good. In part, due to the fact that I got some much-needed rest and relaxation this week, but also due to the fact that I’ve had some great new fit maternity apparel to review and wear during my workouts. Here is a quick break-down of my week 24 pregnancy workouts.

  • Day 1: 1 hour of plyos and light weights with a client
  • Day 2: 1 hour of plyos and body weight strength training with a client
  • Day 3: 1 hour of plyos and pilates with a client
  • Day 4: 2 hours of cardio machines with clients
  • Day 5: 1 hour of plyos and body weight exercises with a client
  • Day 6: 4 hours of cardio machines and 1 hour of plyos wearing my Preggers compression band
  • Day 7: Family walk and short run with my FittaMamma shirt and Preggers compression leggings

If you haven’t entered the giveaway for the FittaMamma shirt, enter now! It is so cute, and I feel so comfortable running or doing intense plyos with this shirt.

I also had the privilege of reviewing the Preggers compression apparel this week. “Preggers by Therafirm™ is a unique line of maternity support hose and compression products developed by future moms for future moms (Preggers, Facebook page).”

Wore my Preggers compression band for my long workout day this week.

I wore my Preggers compression band for my long workout day this week.

The Preggers line was developed for moms-to-be to help prevent and reduce swelling, or to energized tired, achy legs. I did not experience much (if any) swelling in my first pregnancy, but I am committed to working to prevent swelling in this pregnancy as well. Read one of my most popular posts on How to Prevent Water Retention During Pregnancy for ideas on how to prevent swelling. I wore the Preggers leggings a few times this week, and wore the compression band yesterday for my long workout day. The Preggers leggings are so comfortable! I wear the medium pair for workouts and the small pair under tunics and short dresses for every day use. The compression band was great too. I certainly felt a good bit of stability and when I took it off half-way through one of the plyo workouts, I could definitely tell a difference.

My favorite combination for long runs and intense plyometrics/jump training right now is my FittaMamma top and Preggers compression leggings. I feel a lot of stability and really appreciate the added support that the apparel provides.

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to offer you a chance to win a $50 gift card for Preggers!

I was just asking a few girlfriends this past weekend about where to get maternity fitness apparel and if they had and “dos” and “don’ts” advice! I could really use something like this!

I would love a gift card because at 12 weeks in my 2nd pregnancy I’m already bigger than I was at 25 weeks with my 1st! Needless to say my regular clothes aren’t fitting – including my workout clothes. I never needed to invest in maternity clothes last time (I stayed small throughout my pregnancy & went early)…so I think I’m going to this time!

Hmm it seems like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
