Here are a handful of testimonials below.

“I am in week 2 of the program and I feel amazing. It has not been as hard as I thought it would be and honestly I am sleeping better, thinking clearer and feel happier. I am excited to see what I feel and look like at week 6.” – Ashley Griffith

“As I’m in my second week of the boot camp, I keep thinking how grateful I am to my favorite blogger, Beth of Seersucker & Saddles, for introducing me to Amanda and her boot camp. Her before & after pictures had me SOLD! I’ve always been an active person, working out regularly for years and have always eaten pretty well. However, I always fell short of seeing good-enough results. Through the past week and a half, I’ve realized that I don’t have to workout so hard and for so long and have learned to fuel my body correctly. A win-win combo, if you ask me. Amanda and the rest of the fellow boot campers are very supportive and doing this program with my best friend is icing on the cake. And speaking of cake…you can have treats during the program! How cool is that?!?” – Renee

“Game changer ~ I can’t believe that my time in the gym has decreased, I eat more on a regular calorie day and I’ve seen the most results both physically and mentally than I’ve ever had before.” – Michelle Tarleton

“I feel great and my skin looks amazing as a result of diet. Quick workouts get me in and out of gym which I love!” – Sherry Sanders

“This is my second round and I have to say it just gets better. I truly appreciate the online support and your guidance. It has made a tremendous difference in the way I view nutrition and working out. Game changer!” – Amy Jacobsen

“So far I have made better food choices, and am stepping outside the box with my workouts. For three years now my choice of workout has been barre, which has great results, but I plateaued and needed something different. When seeing results from others I knew Amanda’s program was the way to go.” – Britney

“I’ve been on Amanda’s program since January 5th. It was a tough start however I’m feeling better then ever. Fasting has made me feel in control of my appetite and life in general. Amanda’s consistent online upbeat attitude with extensive researched education to back her program has made me a believer. I have a ways to go but I’m actually looking forward to the journey. I’m a working mother of 3 over 40… if I can can commit to this .. anyone can!!” – Betsy Sayers

“I travel for a living and was worried about the fasting, carbs and calorie watch with my schedule… but I’ve been able to make it work. Even the workouts. They are very doable yet challenging and it’s easy to alter the program to fit your schedule needs. I still eat tons of the things I love and I haven’t even noticed that I have been gluten free (I have actually been trying to go GF for months now, and this is the first time in two weeks I have even thought about it!) So far I’m really diggin’ the program.” -Jordan

“This program is the real deal. I struggled for a long time to find the sweet spot of nutrition management and exercise. Amanda makes it so easy to follow. I work full time and manage the lives of three busy kids. This program fits right into that schedule. I have been following this program for 8 weeks and have lost 10 lbs and 6 inches overall. I am very grateful to Amanda for her consistent support, but also all of the ladies who have been a part of my groups.” – Shelby

“I came into this program in the summer of 2016 at the age of 51 with more than 60 pounds to lose to be at a healthy weight. Amanda encouraged me to go at my own pace with the exercises but to still push myself to my own limits. The change in eating habits was something I could do 100% and I did! The results were amazing. I lost 18 pounds in the six-week period and felt younger and more energetic than I have in a long time. Even after the holidays and a couple of bad bouts of bronchitis this fall/winter, I have kept 10 pounds off and am back on the program. Repetition is how we establish habits, and these are good habits I want to make a permanent part of my lifestyle.” – Amy

“I love that this program is attainable- it only takes commitment. If you commit- you will succeed. So thankful for the online group that encourages me and helps hold me accountable.” -Brooke

“My clothes fit looser already. My stomach looks flatter, which is crazy because I have had that dreaded “c-section pooch,” for almost 6 years now. I feel more in control of my food choices, and able to stick to healthy eating without intense craving.” – Kylie Fouts

“I tried everything to shed my last 15lbs of baby weight. This program was the first thing that really worked for me. It’s not a magic pill- it takes dedication, but if you follow the program, you WILL lose weight. I’m already noticing how much better my clothes fit! I’m finally starting to feel like my old self again!”  – Meredith Guy

“This program is a life changer! I was hesitant to join because of one word – fasting. I absolutely love it now. I’m able to enjoy my evenings with my 2 young kids because I have amazing energy. My biggest victory of all is getting back into my “pre-pregnancy” pants! What a great feeling that is!!” – Kelli Lukens

“I’ve worked with Amanda for a year now and I can honestly say she puts forth 100% to building stronger, more confident woman. Her program fits into real life. Try it once and I promise it will change your life.” – Jules

“Amanda’s program has been life changing for me. I have remained healthy and active throughout my adult life but going to the gym and consistently working out was something I dreaded. Through this program and Amanda’s encouragement I have completely changed my outlook on working out and now look forward to it. I have seen results, I am stronger, faster, leaner. This program is not a diet, it’s not a gimmick, it is truly a way of life and she walks you through every step!” – Allison Davis

“While I have not remeasured myself to this point (I am in week 2) i can definitely feel the difference in the way that my clothing is fitting and a difference my energy level and overall sense of wellbeing from day to day. The structure of this program has allowed me to take back control over my mindless eating while allowing room for flexibility in my food choices.” – Julie Lysiak

“I’m really excited to be a part of FASTer Way. I’m only a week into the program and I feel very in control of how I’m fueling my body, I’ve enjoyed switching up my previous exercise routine, and I haven’t been hungry!” – Dana

“I gained about 20 lbs after turning the big 50-and joined a gym, hired a trainer, ate clean and worked out hard 5 days a week with limited results. After starting Amanda’s program, I have already lost 6 lbs and 7 inches in the first 6 weeks!! I plan to continue her program to lose those last 10 lbs!!!”

“My legs are toned, I sleep better, and have tons of energy! As a busy attorney, wife, mom, grandson, and active church volunteer-I need all the energy I can get! I cannot recommend this program highly enough!!” – Mel Hardy

“In my 30+ years of life, I have never followed a nutrition plan, but I have always worked out hard (barre, weight lifting, crossfit, and many other programs). No matter what I did, I could never lose my stomach fat….or learn to say no to my kids macaroni and cheese or a fun night (or weekend full) of drinks with friends. Through this program, I have learned to be in control of what I eat (and drink) and within just one week I already see improvements in my energy….AND waistline! I have to admit, I was skeptical before I started, but I have become a believer in less than 2 weeks!” -Ashley Landis

“I’m in my second round of the Faster Way to Fat Loss program and couldn’t be happier with my results! In my first 6- week session, I lost a total of 25 inches, including 2.5″ off my bust, 4″ off my waist, 5″ off my hips. On top of all that, I feel great, have tons of energy, and feel more confident in my own skin than I have in years. I highly recommend this program to anyone who truly wants to see results and is willing to put in the work to get there.” – Katie Lee

“After 8 days, I have energy to do the mundane things! I am sleeping much more soundly. I also love understanding how my body works and how I can still enjoy fabulous foods and fuel my body at the same time. This program is also amazing because it can be just a lifestyle change! The fad diets, shakes, supplements, etc.. can’t lead to a lifestyle change. This can!” – Casey Ferkingstad

“Amanda’s program has such great structure, it allows me to be consistent with my workout whether I’m home or traveling. In the 1st round (done over the holidays), I was down 9.8lbs and 8”! I’ve never done a program that is so fine tuned. I was feeling better by week two. I love the comradery of the Facebook groups; it’s women empowering women. I’m currently in my 2nd round and I can tell you that I’m probably going to be a “Lifer”! I’ve got more energy than I’ve ever had in my entire life! I’ve learned so much about nutrition, sleep, and exercise and how they affect your body. I have a new lifestyle and I’m loving it!” – Shelly Brugh

“I was always someone who worked out hard core OR dieted. I never could stick with either because the results never came. Doing Amanda’s program has made it so easy to work out AND eat to fuel my body and I am finally seeing the results I was never able to get before. I love how the workouts and food focus changes through the week. I don’t get in a rut, and I look forward to planning my meals and workouts. My clothes fit better, my energy is up, my mood has improved…in two weeks! I can’t wait to see how my mind and body continue to improve.” – Tanya Wells

The One Thing You MUST Have to Reach Your Health and Fitness Goals

mindset

One of the biggest things holding women back from meeting their health and fitness goals is mindset. While I truly believe in the power of excellent programming and intentional nutritional strategies, I also know that without the proper mindset you simply won’t see results.

I am not talking about a woo-woo type of manifesting mindset, but instead the ability to think about your current state, your progress and your ability to make a change. The women who have come through my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program and have seen real results, have all possessed a mindset that is open to and committed to change.

Here are some key characteristics of that type of mindset:

Maintain a positive outlook.

We all have hard things going on in our lives. There are difficult people everywhere, and every goal we set comes with its own obstacles. If you dwell on the hard things, the things you lack, or the size of your obstacles, you simply will not see change. However, if you look for the silver lining in every situation, and focus on your progress, blessings and strengths, you will be far more likely to move towards your goals. This is particularly important when it comes to health and fitness, as it is likely you will have days where you feel like you’ve failed. On those days, it is crucial to think about how far you’ve come and maintain a mindset of hope and possibility as opposed to hanging your head in defeat.

Focus on progress not the end goal.

I totally believe in setting real, attainable, and challenging goals. However, some of our health and fitness goals will take a long time to reach while others will be less quantifiable and more subjective. In order to successfully reach your goals, you need to keep the end in mind, but be focused on the power of your progress. If your goal is to lose 60 pounds, please do not feel defeated if you lose 35 through my FASTer Way program! 35 pounds is a huge, huge thing…not to mention I am sure there will be countless other non-scale victories associated with that weight loss. While there may still be a ways to go, don’t sell that incredible progress short: celebrate it! A mindset that celebrates progress will continue to strive for progress!

Be committed and work hard.

Getting healthy and fit is hard. I am not going to lie and  sell you on an easy, quick fix. There are no magic pills or quick fixes. However, living a healthy lifestyle is completely possible with solid nutritional strategies, effective workouts and lots of support. I can give you all three of those things through my FASTer Way program. However, what I cannot give you is the commitment it takes to follow through. Only you can bring that. To truly succeed at your health and fitness goals (and any other goal for that matter), you must decide you will commit to follow through and complete what you started with focus and hard work…not perfection!

Fight through the fear of doing hard things.

Fear can truly paralyze you from moving forward. Many women look at my program and think it sounds too hard, so they never even try. Here’s the thing though, hundreds of women have gone through my FASTer Way program successfully. There is nothing special about those women. Their lives aren’t easier, their willpower isn’t stronger. However, they didn’t look at something hard and think, “oh…I can’t do that, it’s too hard.” They tried one day at a time, one step at a time. Focusing on what’s possible instead of how hard something might be is what sets the successful apart.

Remain patient.

Good things take time. Things worth having don’t happen overnight. Lifestyle change takes months and months of work to truly set in. Be patient. Results will come after just a week or two, but hang in there. The real results that last will take a bit of time. A mindset that is focused on overnight success is going to be disappointed and disillusioned. A mindset focused on slow progress over time will see incredible results.

The best fitness and nutrition program in the world is only as good as its implementation. If your mindset is focused on the negative, on the unchangeable, on quick fixes and on your limitations, you won’t see results and likely won’t even start. Instead, remind yourself daily of the progress you’ve made and the opportunities ahead. Surround yourself with others working toward a similar goal. Write down your goals AND your progress. Celebrate your small success and commit to doing hard things that move you forward every day. In time, your results will be unbelievable!

If you’d like to truly make a dent in your health and fitness goals for 2017, I have another round of my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program beginning on January 30th. My program is truly the best on the market and will undoubtedly give you everything you need (besides commitment and hard work) to be successful. My clients have seen unbelievable results and I have sold out every round of this program for the last 3 months. Don’t wait to grab your spot!

Ending the Trend of Obesity, One Person at a Time

ending-the-trendOver the last 15 years I’ve built a successful career in the fitness industry based on much more than just helping women find their six packs. While I absolutely want my clients to see physical results, I am concerned with giving my clients more than just a few pounds lost.  The mission behind my fitness business is, and has always been, to end the trend of obesity through cutting edge programs that promote a healthy lifestyle.

Wrapped up in that mission are several non-aesthetic goals I have for all of my clients going through my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program.

Here are just a few…

I want my clients to feel in control of their food choices.

I want every client coming through my program to learn how to fuel their bodies for workouts, daily activities, and all they’ve been called to each day. I don’t want my clients giving in to their  cravings, or mindlessly eating all day long. Instead, I want clients to be able to intentionally  choose when to indulge, and make mindful, educated decisions about what they eat each day. My FASTer Way to Fat Loss program gives clients a formula and a blueprint for success, so they truly feel in control.

I want my clients to see an increase in energy.

Many women come up against that 2pm wall of exhaustion each day. I want my clients to feel completely energized throughout the entire day. I truly believe your family, your work and your community deserve to have you operating at your very best. This is why a main focus of my FASTer Way program is increasing your energy level! This is also one of the most reported non-scale victories my clients have shared with me.

I want to equip my clients to make lasting lifestyle changes that prevent disease.

This program is not a 21 day fix, magic pill, or three time wrap. Instead, it is designed to educate my clients on proper nutritional fueling, and safe, effective workouts, so they can make intentional decisions for the rest of their lives. My goal is to give clients the tools and support they need to prevent illness down the road, including things like hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, and diabetes…all of which are directly related to both diet and exercise. Preventative health is a huge goal I have for everyone going through my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program.

I want to inspire my clients to live their lives with more confidence.

I want each of my clients to feel passion for and progress towards their health and wellness goals. I truly believe that this type of passion and progress will spill over into other areas of their life, as they begin to feel their best, both physically and emotionally. I want my clients to leave the past behind, looking forward to living their fullest, most energized, and healthiest lives.

I want my clients to be catalysts for their families and communities.

Women truly are agents of change in the world. It is a huge goal of mine to equip women to use their influence both at home and in their communities. I am passionate about helping them be catalysts for a healthier tomorrow.

My FASTer Way to Fat Loss program is about so much more than getting skinny. If my clients see progress and success in each of the areas I’ve listed above, I would truly call my program a wild success; the lost fat my client’s see is truly just icing on the donut…what can I say…I’m a donut kind of girl!

If you’re interested in joining my next round of FASTer Way to Fat Loss, we will be starting another one on January 30th.

My mission is to bring this program to as many women as possible, so that they can experience these amazing results for themselves.

FASTer Way to Fat Loss FAQ’s

faqs

I am so excited to have 500 women going through my FASTer Way to Fat Loss Program this month. I truly believe this is the very best product on the market for those looking to burn fat and increase energy. Because of that, I am committed to spreading the word and helping as many women as possible reach their health and fitness goals in 2017.

Each round of signups, I get asked a number of questions regarding my program. While many of them have to do with Intermittent Fasting and Carb Cycling, there are other, more general questions, that come up pretty regularly. So, I want to go ahead and answer those questions in one place. If you have questions specifically related to Intermittent Fasting or Carb Cycling, I’ve written a post answering the ones I am most commonly asked, so be sure to check that out. This post will address the more general questions I am asked about the program.

If I am already a member of a gym and doing regular classes, or if I am meeting with a personal trainer, can I just continue with my current workouts, and use your food cycle?

My honest answer to this question is: If what you are currently doing was working extremely well, you wouldn’t be looking into my program.

If you were seeing incredible results, and were truly passionate about your current lifestyle, you would not be searching for other solutions.

My program is designed to work as a whole. I pair our nutritional cycle with our workouts, because that is what gets the very best results.  It is absolutely critical that we are fueling our bodies for our workouts, and teaching them how to burn fat instead of glucose throughout the day.

If you belong to a gym like Orangetheory, are doing Pilates, Yoga or Barre, then I highly recommend you do my workouts for the first few weeks. I definitely want you to keep doing workouts you love, so am all for you adding yours in. However, it is important that we discuss what you are doing, so that we can make sure your food cycle is matched accordingly.

If you are working with a personal trainer, I would obviously want you to continue with that, but again would have you look at your food cycle to ensure you are eating the right amount on the days you are working out!

Is it okay to participate in FASTer Way to Fat Loss if I am breastfeeding?

Yes! However, there are some things we may need to modify. Throughout the program we will listen to your body, and continually keep an eye on your milk supply. However, when you eat the foods God intended for you to eat, you won’t see a decrease in milk supply. He’s designed our bodies intentionally, so fueling them well will not affect that. However, we will be sure to check on your caloric intake, because when you are living in too big of a calorie deficit and doing crazy, intense workouts, your milk supply can absolutely be affected. My program is designed to fuel your body in a way that is perfectly safe for nursing moms.

Do I need to purchase any shakes or supplements to participate in this program?

No! Throughout the program we will talk about the importance of probiotics, protein and other supplements like BCAA’s. While I am happy to share the products I use and love, none of them are required to participate. I am a huge proponent of fueling your body with real food, and this program is based on that premise. Nothing is required but hard work, commitment and positivity.

Am I a good fit for this program?

This program is for women only (men can invest in the program but can’t be in any of the Facebook Groups). In addition, this program has been incredibly successful for women who have a foundation of working out and under 60 pounds to lose.

My program is challenging and will require commitment. If you have more than 60 pounds to lose and have not worked out in a long time, then we can make the program work for you, but it will require some modifying. If that’s you, I will have you start with our nutritional cycle then ease you into our workouts. I truly want you to see results, but I also want you to be safe and remain injury free. So, if you have more than 60 pounds to lose, we will move a little more slowly, but will eventually be able to ease you into the full program and lifestyle, over time.

If you have 100+ pounds to lose, we will need to start you somewhere else. If that’s you, then yay for you wanting to live a healthier lifestyle, and please feel free to email me to set up a consult, so that we can find you the perfect starting point!

This year my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program is a new and improved version of this already successful program. The workouts are completely new, and the food cycle has been tweaked and fine tuned to get you the very best results, or your money back! I truly stand behind this program and hope to help thousands of women get healthy, fit and strong in 2017!

Sleep Better to Burn Fat

sleep

Did you know that sleep is critical to becoming a pro-fat burner? Truly, it is an important piece of the fat burning puzzle and has significant effects on almost every aspect of life. That is why the ladies in my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program will be focusing on sleep quantity and quality during the next round of my program.

Sleep hasn’t always come easy for me. I have struggled for years to both fall asleep and stay asleep. I have tried countless things to sleep better and have come up with some strategies that really work! Before I get into those, here are a few reasons it is important to focus on sleep.

Lower Cortisol Levels

Cortisol is your body’s stress hormone. When your cortisol levels are high, your body stores fat. According to recent research, not getting enough sleep can raise cortisol levels in the afternoon and evening, making sleep difficult.

Increased Willpower

When you are sleep deprived, your willpower is depleted. This means that you are more likely to stray from foods that fuel your body well and reach for the donuts instead. Sleep deprivation alters your overall judgement and can often put you in compromising situations when you’re trying to stick to a healthy lifestyle.

Regulated Hunger Hormones

When you’re not sleeping, your hunger hormones (ghrelin and leptin) get all out of whack. Ghrelin signals to your brain when it’s time to eat. Your body produces more ghrelin when you are sleep deprived, which means you feel hungry more often. Leptin is your satiation hormone, and lets your body know that you’ve eaten enough. Your leptin levels are significantly decreased when you are not sleeping well. So, you are always hungry, don’t ever really feel full and have depleted willpower…

…hello donut binges??!?!!

Decreased Sensitivity to Insulin

After just a few days of insufficient sleep, your body will struggle to process insulin, the hormone responsible for changing sugar and starches into energy. When your insulin sensitivity is out of whack, you are going to store fat.

Tips to sleep better…

These are things that I have researched and personally tried, so can attest to their effectiveness. I highly recommend you try some of these strategies to optimize your sleep patterns.

Be sure your bedroom is nice and cool

You sleep better when it’s cool. Your body has natural signals that let it know when it is time to wind down and go to sleep. A decrease in temperature is one of those signals. Ensuring that your room is cool will help your body know it’s time to wind down.

Eating Clean

This is kind of a no brainer, but one of the most common things I hear from women going through my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program is that they are sleeping better. For many, this is because they are truly cleaning up their diet. Eating processed junk right before bedtime will keep your digestive system working incredibly hard throughout the night and make good sleep hard to achieve.

Getting Vitamin D

Interaction with natural light causes your body to produce melatonin, which is critical in regulating your sleep cycles. Many people use a melatonin supplement, but a better first line of defense is to get out in the sun for about 20 minutes each morning. Vitamin D helps your body naturally produce its own melatonin, making a supplement unnecessary. If you can’t get out in the sun, or are still struggling to sleep, then you might consider adding in a melatonin supplement.

Go Screen Free

The blue light from our computers and phones suppresses the production of melatonin and can make it difficult for our brains to shut down when it’s time for bed. I shut off my devices at least one hour before bed. I have recently purchased a pair of blue light reducing glasses to decrease the blue light effect on my hormone levels.

Keep Your Room Pitch Black

Light is another signal to your body that it’s time for bed. Be sure that your bedroom is completely dark. This will let your body know it’s time for bed and make falling asleep a whole lot easier!

Exercise at Least 4 Hours Prior to Bed

Exercise increases several hormone levels. Doing it too close to bedtime can make falling asleep incredibly difficult. Be sure that you are leaving at least 4 hours between when you finish your workout and going to bed. This will give those hormones the opportunity to level out so you are better able to sleep.

Sleeping 7-9 hours per night is absolutely critical to burning fat, increasing your energy levels and feeling your absolute best. If you are struggling to sleep, do your best to set up a nightly routine that works for you. Try implementing some of these strategies to optimize your sleep each night. For me, this has made a huge difference in the way I feel, my overall productivity, and my body’s ability to burn fat!

The ladies in my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program will be focusing on sleep this round as it is critical to fat loss. If you’d like to lose fat, increase lean muscle, and improve your energy and mood, head over here to sign up. I had two cancellations today, so have two spots for the group starting today! DON’T WAIT, these spots will be gone quickly!

My Morning Routine

morning-routineAs an entrepreneur, wife and mother I have a lot to do each day. Because of that, I’m always looking for ways to make my morning routine more effective. I’ve spent some time perfecting a routine that works for me, and think it’s worthwhile for everyone to do the same. There are some specific benefits to a morning routine for those who have some health goals for the coming year as well. Here’s a few reasons why you need a morning routine…

Productivity

Throughout the day we are required to make countless decisions that tax our willpower and require  significant thought. Our willpower is strongest in the morning, so utilizing this time to do things that are important for our day, but that may not be the most desirable things to do, ensures that I accomplish what needs to be done for that day. I personally use the “eat your frog” method and do three things each morning that move my business forward, but that I don’t enjoy doing, getting those things over with first thing in the am!

Time For Exercise

For those who find it hard to squeeze exercise into their day, getting it done early in the morning while the kids are still asleep, can help you establish this healthy habit. While I personally exercise later in the day, many find early morning exercise to increase their energy levels and improve their mood throughout the rest of the day. This is something worth experimenting with, when establishing your morning routine.

You Control your Day

Having a morning routine allows you to start your day the way you want to. No rushing around anxiously, go through the motions, waiting for life to happen. Instead, you’re able to go through your day, unhurriedly, focused and with intention. For me, this is critical since I have so much to accomplish each day. I simply can not wake up frantically feeling behind or unprepared. I need to have some control over  how things play out, and getting started with my morning routine helps me to do that.

My morning routine is still evolving, but there are a few things that have remained constant.

Focus on the night before

My morning routine starts the night before. I go to bed by 10pm, and shut off all electronic devices by 9pm. The blue light from those devices can really affect your circadian rhythms and make sleep difficult. So, I am making a concerted effort to distance myself from the many screens in my life, prior to going to bed.

Shower

I shower immediately after waking up. I have been experimenting with cold water therapy and slowly making my water colder throughout my shower. This really wakes me up, but is taking a bit of getting used to!

Drinking Water

After my shower, I drink some ice water to keep my body hydrated. I often wake up feeling a bit dehydrated, so this is critical for me. In addition, hydration is particularly important since I fast until about noon.

Eat the Frog

After drinking some water I immediately start working. My goal is to do three things that move my business forward but are my least desired tasks. Getting these things done first thing, takes them off my plate for the rest of the day.

Vitamin D

I take some time each morning to get out in the sun. Obviously, this is easy for me since I live in Florida and have sun available to me all year long! However, getting out for just 20 minutes per day helps your body produce melatonin, which helps you fall asleep more easily each night.

Professional Development

I am extremely intentional about starting my day with professional development. I listen to something every morning that is related to either fitness, business or leadership, so I am constantly learning how to better serve my clients and grow my business.

My morning routine effectively sets me up for success each day. Finding something that works for you may take a bit of time, but ultimately will help you to feel more in control of your days. If you don’t already have one, I highly recommend you invest some time in building a routine that makes sense for you. If you do have a morning routine, don’t be afraid to tweak it as the seasons of your life and business change.

Clients in my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program are seeing incredible results in terms of fat loss, inches loss, energy levels and improved moods. This program is truly cutting edge and is the very best on the market today. I am starting another round on January 16th, and only have 10 spots left! Side Effects of Intermittent Fasting and Carb Cycling

side-effects

You’ve heard me talk for the last year about the effectiveness of intermittent fasting and carb cycling in terms of fat loss. I have shared testimony after testimony of women who have shed pounds, gotten stronger and found their abs through my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program, which is based on those two nutritional strategies. But, what I haven’t told you are the side effects, and there are a few.

So, in the interest of full disclosure, these are the side effects reported by my clients.

Increased Energy

Client after client have reported an incredible increase in energy levels after just a couple of weeks in my program. This is by far the most consistent side effect reported and the one that I am most excited to read about. I truly believe that the world around you deserves your best self and energy is definitely a requirement for being your best self!

Better Sleep

Perhaps one of the reasons my clients are seeing such an increase in energy is because they are sleeping better. This lifestyle positively affects hormone levels so you sleep like a baby!

A Happy Gut

Good-bye bloating and discomfort. Clients in my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program have said that after just a few days in my program they are feeling less bloating and discomfort almost across the board. Who doesn’t love a happy gut?

More Time

Having all of that time in the morning, without having to worry about what to eat, means you can be more productive each day. This is a side effect that I love, because as an entrepreneur, I know the value of a few extra minutes.

A Better Mood

My clients have been reporting far better moods after a couple of weeks in my program. This again is due to the effect that intermittent fasting and carb cycling have on hormones. In addition, the workouts paired with these nutritional strategies can also have a positive effect on mood and anxiety levels.

Most women join my program because they want to lose fat. While they always see significant fat loss, these side effects are just as valuable as the fat loss. In fact, these side effects are what improve quality of life, which in my book, makes this program an incredible success.

Two Things You Need To Meet Your Health and Fitness Goals

goalsAs I look ahead to 2017, I am incredibly excited about the hundreds of women who are going to see their lives changed through my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program. I truly believe that this is the very best program out there and am floored by the countless testimonials coming through from my current clients.

As you look ahead to the coming year and begin to set health goals for 2017, you are going to need two things in place to ensure you meet those goals. The first is an effective, intentional plan. This can be especially tricky if you have been eating clean and exercising for years, because in theory, you’ve been doing all of the right things. However, once you’ve hit a plateau with your clean eating and exercise regimen, it’s time to change up your plan and move in a different direction.

Once you’ve got a good plan in place, you are going to need some accountability. Any kind of change in terms of diet and exercise requires a bit of encouragement and usually a bit of a kick in the pants at times. That kind of accountability needs to be both kind and strong if you really want to form new habits. Finding the right person or group to hold you accountable is a crucial piece of meeting your goals.

Both of these are foundational components of my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program. I have worked long and hard to ensure that this is truly the most effective plan out there. This plan has been tested and tried by hundreds of women already, and the results truly speak for themselves. In addition, my Facebook group provides a significant amount of accountability where I personally check your daily macro screenshots and am there to encourage you along the way.

If you are on the fence about joining my program beginning in January, here are what a few of my clients have to say about their experience…

“They say that the definition of “insanity” is doing the same thing, yet expecting different results.  When you trust in Amanda’s program, you do something different….and get some amazing results!!!”- Amy S.

“I have never been one to lift weights regularly and was very hesitant in my ability to commit to a 6 week program due to the amount of travel I do for work. I became competitive with myself very quickly after seeing and feeling results after the first week. I began this program as I had been making poor food choices for quite some time. It took a few weeks to get in the swing of understanding what I should eat and when depending on what I was trying to accomplish with macros. I can’t wait to participate in a second round.”-Morgan A.

“When I started the Faster Way to Fat Loss Program, I was not exercising regularly, eating terribly, and had been slowly and steadily putting on weight over the last 18 months.  My biggest problem was finding a program with a structure that worked with my life and my schedule and that I could stick to long term.”-Katie

“I can’t say enough about this program!  Yes, I have lost over 10lbs and inches to boot, but I have gained so much confidence, knowledge and strength in return.  If you are on the fence, or worried this will be another failed attempt to get in shape, don’t hesitate to sign up.  You will not be disappointed!”-Claire

There are hundreds of other testimonials just like these; I would love for yours to be next!

My January 9th program is completely full with 300 amazing women, and my January 16th program is more than half full.  If you are on the fence about joining, you might want to sign up before the spots are gone!

I truly stand behind this program, and offer a complete money back guarantee, so you have nothing to lose but a few inches and some unwanted fat and a whole lot of energy and confidence to gain!

Let’s make 2017 the year you absolutely crush your health and fitness goals.

Why Low Carb Days Are Crucial for Fat Loss

low-carb

I can’t tell you how excited I am to be starting this next round of my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program. This round, I have made some changes to our food cycle because I am always looking for ways to maximize my clients’ results. The program is based on intermittent fasting, carb cycling and an IIFYM approach to eating. I have combined these three strategies into the very best program available to ensure my clients achieve incredible results. One specific change I’ve made this round is that we’ll be doing two low carb days back to back. Low carb days are critical in our carb cycle because they help us become better fat burners.

The purpose of low carb days.

Each day in our carb cycle has a purpose. On low carb days, our goal is to deplete our glycogen stores so that our body burns fat for fuel. When we eat carbs, our body turns those carbs into glycogen. When we eat fats, our body stores those fats into fat or triglycerides. During a sprint or a heavy lifting workout, the first place our body goes for fuel is our glycogen stores. Once it has used up the glycogen stores, our body will reach into our fat stores for energy. This is exactly where we want our body to go!

Doing back to back low carb days will ensure our glycogen levels are low, so our body uses those stores up quickly and can start burning fat.

Workouts for low carb days.

Our low carb day workouts will be doing a speed burst workout paired with some low intensity cardio. This will require our body to exhaust its glycogen stores and start burning fat throughout our speed burst training.  It will then continue to burn fat throughout our cardio workout, and for hours after our workout is complete!

It is best to do both your speed burst training and low intensity cardio while fasted, and to break your fast shortly after finishing. During speed burst training you need to push yourself. You want to get into those fat stores quickly, so work hard during this part of your workout. During your low intensity cardio, you should be able to carry on a conversation. It’s important you stay in a lower heart-rate zone for this portion of your workout to maintain fat burning.

How we do low carb days.

On low carb days my clients and I consume less than 50 net grams of carbs (net carbs are carbs minus fiber in a given food). These carbs come from complex carbs found in vegetables, whole grains and fruits. We do our best to avoid starchy carbs that lack any real nutrients, since we are working towards feeling our best and fueling our body well. During my program, we do eat our carbs in a 6-8 hour eating window as part of our intermittent fasting. There are days where we will have some discretionary calories based on our workouts and cycle for the week. During those days, we can eat carbs from any source we choose…hello donuts!

Low carb days can be a bit challenging because they don’t allow for as much room as high carb days, but aren’t as cut and dry as a no carb day. They require a bit more thinking, but can easily be carried out once you’ve gotten a good handle on the macros in what you normally eat. I’m excited to see the results my ladies experience as we change things up with our carb cycle this round.

There’s No Magic Pill

dsc_8589Now that Christmas is over, it’s time to begin thinking about goals for the coming year. This season of resolution making often has people diving all in on January 1st, only to give up on their resolutions by the end of January. Promises to “eat healthier” and “exercise more” rank at the very top of common resolution lists, but people rarely see any long term success in term of living a healthier lifestyle.

Here’s why so many people fail to reach their own goals when it comes to getting healthy…they are looking for a quick fix that magically melts fat away without any work.

However, there is truly no way to get fit and healthy without tightening up your nutrition and doing regular, challenging workouts.

There is no magic pill to make you healthier…no wrap to melt away your midsection…no special shake that burns fat without a clean diet and intentional exercise…there’s truly no quick fix.

But, there are plenty of people who do make a life-long change towards health.

Here’s how to be successful in January:

Focus on a meaningful why.

Set a long term goal that has more to do with your overall health than with how you look. Focus on how you want to feel and what you want to be able to do, as opposed to what you want to look like. Eventually, if you are fueling your body well and working out hard, you will see the physical changes. But, the non-scale victories are what help you to live a healthy lifestyle long-term.

Get accountability.

Find someone who will keep you accountable to your resolution to live healthier lifestyle. That could be a spouse, a friend or a personal trainer. Another option is obviously my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program. The January 9th round is already full, but I will be opening another one later in January, so be sure to join the waiting list.

Come up with a sustainable action plan that focuses on lifestyle.

Quit looking for the quick fixes, and invest in something that will help you to make changes to your lifestyle. Focus on things that are sustainable. Intense workouts 6 or 7 days per week, and food stuffed into tiny containers is not something you want to be doing forever. Look for simple changes that can be made and sustained well past January.

Be Realistic.

Set goals that are challenging but realistic. Don’t under sell yourself, but do be sure that it is an actual possibility to reach your health and fitness goal in a healthy way. For example, it would not be wise to set a goal of losing 50 pounds by the end of January. While it is technically possible, it is incredibly unhealthy to have such rapid weight loss. Focus on the long term and set incremental goals along the way.

Hard work in the gym, and clean eating in the kitchen are the only things that will get you the results you are looking for. Supplements and shakes can certainly aid in your pursuit of a healthy lifestyle,  but they are not going to be some kind of magic bullet that all of a sudden makes you healthy and fit. They can only enhance an already healthy lifestyle! Quick fixes don’t exist…if they did, I’d be eating a whole lot more donuts, friend. But, real life change does exist. My clients have experienced it through my FASTer Way to Fat Loss program, so I know it is possible! But, no one gets healthy, fit and strong without hard work and intentionality, so look at your long term goals and start taking steps towards them in a realistic way.
